Mastering Work & Future Plans in Italian
Welcome to your A2 Work Review! In this lesson, we will synthesize essential professional vocabulary and practice how to talk about what we will do in our careers using the future tense.
Talking About the Future (Futuro Semplice)
To talk about future career plans, we use regular endings for verbs: -rò, -rai, -rà, -remo, -rete, -ranno. For example, the verb lavorare (to work) becomes lavorerò (I will work).
- Io lavorerò in un ufficio. (I will work in an office.)
- Domani guadagnerò di più. (Tomorrow I will earn more.)
Common Professional Vocabulary
Make sure you know your workplace terms:
- Il datore di lavoro: The employer
- Il dipendente: The employee
- Lo stipendio: The salary
Common Mistakes
Don't confuse present and future endings! Remember that -rò has an accent on the 'o' for 'I will', whereas present tense is different.
