Common Free-Time Expressions with Fare
In Italian, we don't always use separate verbs for hobbies. Instead, we use fare + noun:
- fare sport - to do sports
- fare una passeggiata - to take a walk
- fare una foto - to take a picture
- fare colazione - to have breakfast
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Don't confuse fare with regular verbs ending in -are! Remember that tu fai ends in -ai, not -a, and the first-person form is faccio.
