Welcome to Unit 7! In this lesson, we explore the vocabulary of the digital age: cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data management. At a B2 level, discussing technology requires precision and formal terminology.
Key Concepts & Vocabulary
La digitalizzazione: Digitalization of processes.
Il cloud computing: Cloud computing services.
La sicurezza informatica: Cybersecurity measures.
When discussing system upgrades, we often use the passato prossimo of technical verbs such as migrare, aggiornare and implementare, together with specialized nouns. For example:
Abbiamo migrato i dati sul cloud. (We migrated the data to the cloud.)
È fondamentale proteggere la rete da eventuali attacchi informatici. (It is essential to protect the network from potential cyber attacks.)
Common Mistake: Do not confuse il computer (hardware) with l'informatica (the field of computer science or IT).
