1. Per quanto riguarda (As for / Regarding)
Use this phrase to shift the topic or specify what you are talking about. It is often followed by a noun.
Per quanto riguarda il progetto, sono molto ottimista. (As for the project, I am very optimistic.)
2. Ammesso che (Granted that / Assuming that)
This expression introduces a concession and requires the subjunctive mood (congiuntivo).
Ammesso che tu abbia ragione, dobbiamo comunque verificare i dati. (Granted that you are right, we still need to check the data.)
3. A patto che (Provided that / On condition that)
This phrase sets a strict condition and also requires the subjunctive mood.
Ti aiuterò, a patto che tu finisca in tempo. (I will help you, provided that you finish on time.)
Common Mistakes
Remember that both ammesso che and a patto che must be followed by the subjunctive, never the indicative! Saying *a patto che tu finisci is incorrect.
