Review: Travel & Past Tense
Welcome to Unit 12! In this lesson, we will review essential travel vocabulary and practice talking about the past using the Passato Prossimo.
Forming the Passato Prossimo
Most verbs use avere plus a past participle. Verbs of movement and state of being use essere (with gender and number agreement).
- Ho visitato Roma. (I visited Rome.)
- Siamo andati al mare. (We went to the beach.)
Remember irregular past participles like fatto (done/made) and visto (seen).
Common Mistakes
Don't forget to match the past participle with essere! For example: Sono andata (I went, female) vs Sono andato (I went, male).
