Listen to the lesson audio:
Imperatives
Positive form
To make a
positive imperative, we must use the
base form of the
verb, and we don't add "to, -s, -ing " to the
verb.
- Come here.
(to come,
comes, coming, come you,)
We
can add "please"
at the end of the sentence
to be more polite.
Some
more example sentences for the imperative mood:
- Shut
the windows.
- Please
help me.
- Open
the window please.
- Turn
to page 5.
- Come
in.
- Go
out.
- Speak
to Sam.
- Please
write your name on paper.
- Drink
some water.
- Go,
please.
